Wood Machinist
Skirting World Ltd is a fast-growing manufacturer of premium MDF skirting, architraves and architectural mouldings.
About the Role
The role of Wood Machinist within Skirting World requires the successful candidate to work and communicate with a team of machinists to achieve the daily production targets, as well as ensuring the highest standards are kept to. Liaise with the factory manager to hit the daily tasks.

Successful candidates will be expected to be able to carry out the following-
- Setting and operating 4 and 5 head moulders
- Setting and operating spindle moulders
- Differentiate between sizes of timber by eye
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Adapt to continuous improvement ideas
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Willingness to understand the different types of products
- Carrying out other duties within the factory, as required
- Perform work in accordance with specifications, instructions, and/or company policies
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors
Previous experience would be advantageous however full training will be provided to the right candidate
Time is of the essence, so the right candidate will be required to start immediately.

· Capable of lifting heavy lengths of timber

Working Hours
35 Hours per week – Monday to Thursday 15:00 - 22:30, Friday 14:00 – 21:30
