Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Butchery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food production and preparation, along with a strong understanding of food safety practices. This role is essential in supporting our butchery operations, ensuring high-quality meat products are available for our customers while maintaining excellent service standards.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and cutting of various meats according to specifications. Including stirfry dishes, ready to cook meals and our added value range
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the butchery area, adhering to food safety regulations.
Package meat products for display and sale, ensuring freshness and quality.
Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and assisting customers with their selections.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of food handling.
Participate in inventory management, including receiving and storing meat products properly.
Utilize knife skills effectively to perform meat cutting tasks safely and efficiently.
Assist preparing online orders ready for delivery or collection

Qualifications

Previous experience in food production or preparation is preferred.
Strong customer service skills, with the ability to engage positively with customers.
Demonstrated knife skills and experience in meat cutting are advantageous.
A background in the food industry will be considered a plus.

This position is an 8am-5pm working day 5 days per week. Working 3 in 4 saturdays with every sunday off. However flexibility to cover holidays is essential
