Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Route Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and optimizing delivery routes, managing sortation processes including unloading of trunk vehicles, and ensuring efficient operations within the morning operation. A forklift license would be an advantage however training can be arranged. The Route Planner will play a crucial role in driving the completion of daily volumes and collections while maintaining high standards of customer service and communication.

Position is Tuesday to Saturday, 4am to 9am. 25 hours per week.

Position will commence asap.

Responsibilities

Routing of consignments daily to achieve all deliveries and collections.
Manage morning tasks to ensure efficient sortation process.
Utilize web based portals for the routing process, Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, for data analysis and reporting.
Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
Demonstrate strong leadership skills by guiding team members and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Conduct regular assessments of processes to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.

Qualifications

Experience in route planning roles within logistics or supply chain environments would be an advantage.
Good geographical knowledge essential.
Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
A valid driving license is advantageous.
Experience in customer service is highly desirable.
