We are looking for a Regional Childcare Services Manager who can oversee service operations across our childcare and family support programmes in Dumfries. This is a high level leadership role for someone who can manage teams, maintain service standards, support compliance, and ensure families receive a dependable and welcoming experience.
You will work closely with nursery managers, childcare staff, administrative teams, and senior leadership to improve daily operations, strengthen safeguarding practices, and support the continued growth of our services.

Key Responsibilities:
Regional Operations Management:
Oversee daily childcare service operations across assigned locations or programmes. Ensure services run smoothly, safely, and in line with company standards.
Team Leadership:
Support nursery managers, supervisors, and childcare staff. Provide guidance, coaching, performance feedback, and practical solutions to operational challenges.
Compliance and Safeguarding:
Ensure childcare services follow relevant regulations, safeguarding procedures, health and safety standards, and internal policies.
Service Improvement:
Review current processes and identify ways to improve efficiency, parent satisfaction, staff coordination, and child centred service delivery.
Parent and Stakeholder Communication:
Maintain professional communication with parents, carers, local partners, and internal teams. Respond to concerns in a calm, timely, and solution focused manner.
Reporting and Planning:
Prepare regular reports on service performance, staffing needs, compliance matters, and operational priorities for senior management.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
Previous senior experience in childcare operations, nursery management, family services, education services, or a similar care related environment.
Leadership Skills:
Confident managing teams, supporting staff development, handling performance issues, and maintaining professional standards.
Compliance Knowledge:
Good understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, childcare regulations, and quality assurance within childcare or family support services.
Communication:
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to work professionally with staff, parents, senior leaders, and external stakeholders.
Mindset:
Organised, dependable, and practical. You know how to balance care quality, staff support, compliance, and daily operational needs.
Pay: £32,260.22-£68,968.43 per year
