Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring dishes meet quality standards
- Support senior chefs in managing daily kitchen operations and workflow
- Supervise junior kitchen staff and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area according to food safety standards
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock control and ordering
- Contribute to menu development by providing input on ingredients and presentation
- Ensure all food safety protocols are followed during food handling and storage
- Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of hospitality practices
Skills
- Proven experience in food production, kitchen work, or restaurant environments
- Supervising experience or team management skills are highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
