About the Role
We are looking for an organised and detail-oriented finance professional to support a growing group of businesses operating across property, hospitality and leisure.
Working alongside the Group Finance Director and Chartered Accountant, you will take ownership of day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration across multiple companies.
This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining accurate records, ensuring financial processes are followed, and helping keep the finance function running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Financial Administration
- Processing purchase invoices and supplier payments
- Bank reconciliations
- Maintaining accurate accounting records in Xero
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Processing payroll and PAYE administration
- Assisting with month-end procedures and reconciliations
- Supporting the preparation of management accounts
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous bookkeeping or finance administration experience
- Strong working knowledge of Xero
- Experience processing payroll and PAYE
- Experience preparing VAT returns
- Experience completing month-end processes using established procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organisational skills
- Confident user of Microsoft Excel and cloud-based software
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience administering client money accounts
- Experience within property, hospitality or service-based businesses
- AAT qualification or equivalent bookkeeping qualification
- Experience working across multiple entities or group companies
What We're Looking For
We're looking for somebody who takes pride in keeping financial records accurate and organised.
The successful candidate will be proactive, dependable and comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
You will be supported by an experienced Chartered Accountant, but should be capable of taking ownership of day-to-day bookkeeping responsibilities and ensuring finance processes are completed on time and to a high standard.
Pay: £25,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
