We are now looking for a Trainee Contracts Coordinator to join our team in Cupar. This is an exciting early-career opportunity for someone looking to build a career in a fast-paced, commercial environment within the rural sector.
About the role
As a Trainee Contracts Coordinator, you will support our experienced team in delivering a high-quality service to our members. You’ll gain hands-on experience across a range of activities, learning how we coordinate contracts, support and facilitate member to member trading, and manage relationships across the industry.
This is a development role, where you will be supported to build your knowledge, confidence and skills, with a clear pathway to progressing into a Contracts Coordinator position.
What you’ll be doing
With full training provided, you’ll:
- Support the coordination and trading/sale of agricultural products and services between members
- Assist with sourcing and arranging haulage for a range of goods
- Help manage and respond to member enquiries via phone, email and in person
- Build relationships with members, suppliers and colleagues
- Support coordination of temporary workers
- Accurately record bookings and enquiries using our internal systems
- Provide general administrative support
- Learn to identify business opportunities and market trends
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused working environment
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone motivated, reliable and keen to learn. You don’t need previous industry experience - just the right attitude and transferable skills.
You’ll ideally have:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive approach with a willingness to learn
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Basic IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Office)
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a small team
- A flexible and adaptable approach
It would be great if you also have:
- An interest (and/or experience) in agriculture or rural business
- Experience in customer service, sales or administration
- An interest in sales and customer service
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own transport
