Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber/Gas Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing and gas systems across a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in plumbing and gas engineering to contribute to high-quality service delivery. The position involves working both independently and as part of a team to ensure safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances
Conduct gas system installations and ensure compliance with safety regulations
Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete tasks effectively
Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely
Troubleshoot mechanical issues within plumbing and gas systems using technical knowledge
Carry out routine inspections to identify potential problems before they escalate
Assist in assembly of plumbing components and related structures
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Adhere to health and safety standards at all times during operations
Operate commercial vehicles for transportation to various sites as required

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Plumber or Gas Engineer with relevant certifications
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry techniques
Strong mechanical knowledge related to plumbing and gas systems
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
Valid driving licence suitable for operating commercial vehicles (desirable)
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
