About Cocktail Week
Cocktail Week is the UK & Ireland's leading city-by-city cocktail events series — a celebration of cocktail culture that brings together bars, brands, and drinks enthusiasts across more than a dozen cities. Events run in Belfast, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds, Sheffield, Nottingham, Coventry, York, Cardiff, Dublin, Cork and more, with new cities launching in 2027.
We sell wristband-access ticketed events and work with hundreds of independent and group venues as partners. Our audience is a database of 100,000+ subscribers and growing — engaged cocktail lovers who come back year after year. We're in a phase of serious scale, and social media is central to how we get there.
The Role
We're looking for a Social Media Manager to own our organic presence and influencer activity across Instagram, TikTok, and beyond. This is a hands-on creative role — you'll be the person building the content calendar, writing the captions, briefing creators, and making sure Cocktail Week looks as good online as the events feel in person.
You'll work across 20+ city events, each with its own character, venues, and local audience. The job is to make people feel like they need to be there — and to convert that feeling into tickets.
What You'll Own
Organic Social
- Own the Cocktail Week Instagram and TikTok channels day-to-day — posting, scheduling, community management
- Build and maintain a content calendar that sustains engagement between event seasons and builds momentum through each campaign cycle
- Write copy that sounds like a brand people actually want to follow — sharp, fun, not corporate
- Shoot or direct short-form video content where needed; brief designers, photographers, and videographers where not
- Track performance across channels and use the data to improve — reach, engagement, saves, link clicks, and ultimately ticket sales
Influencer & Creator Outreach
- Identify and approach local influencers in each event city — food, lifestyle, nightlife, and cocktail-adjacent creators
- Build and manage city-by-city influencer target lists and track outreach progress
- Coordinate attendance, gifting, and content agreements with creators
- Develop relationships with venues to co-create content and cross-promote events
- Spot and activate opening night and collaboration opportunities — new venues, new partnerships, first-mover relationships
Campaigns & Event Season
- Manage the social content plan for each city's event window, from pre-announce through to post-event wrap
- Coordinate user-generated content during event weeks — reposts, stories, community moments
- Work with the wider marketing team on paid social creative briefs.
What We're Looking For
Must-haves
- 2–4 years managing social media for a brand, agency, or events company — you've owned channels, not just assisted on them
- Strong instinct for what works on Instagram and TikTok — you follow the platforms closely and know what converts
- Comfortable shooting and editing short-form video content (Reels, TikToks) — nothing over-produced, just good
- Experience running influencer or creator outreach — identifying profiles, making contact, managing relationships
- Excellent copywriter — you can match a brand voice and write something people actually want to read
- Highly organised; you'll be managing multiple cities and campaigns at the same time
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in events, hospitality, food & drink, or nightlife
- Existing relationships with food, lifestyle, or nightlife creators in any of our event cities
- Familiarity with scheduling tools
- Some experience with paid social creative — even if you haven't run the campaigns yourself
What You'll Get
- A brand with a genuinely passionate audience and a product people love
- Real creative ownership — this is your channel to build
- Working for one of the countries leading events companies
- Benefits: including felixible working hours, modern office, holidays, pension.
- Access to events, venues, and bars across the UK & Ireland
