Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Bricklayer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for laying bricks, blocks, and other building materials to construct and repair walls, foundations, partitions, arches, and other structures in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Lay bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials to construct and repair structures.
· Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
· Measure work areas and calculate material requirements.
· Mix and apply mortar and other bonding materials.
· Construct walls, foundations, chimneys, retaining walls, and other masonry structures.
· Check alignment, level, and accuracy of completed work.
· Cut and shape bricks and blocks using hand and power tools.
· Repair and maintain existing brickwork and masonry structures.
· Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
· Maintain a clean and organised work area.
· Comply with all site health and safety regulations.
Requirements
· Proven experience as a Bricklayer within the construction industry.
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and building plans.
· Knowledge of bricklaying techniques, materials, and construction methods.
· Proficiency in using bricklaying tools and equipment.
· Good understanding of health and safety practices.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Physical fitness and ability to perform manual work in various weather conditions.
· CSCS card.

Qualifications

Pay: £17.50-£19.00 per hour
