Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Officer to maintain safety and security across the Bow Street Mall premises in Lisburn. This role involves monitoring the environment, preventing loss, and ensuring the safety of staff, visitors, and property. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, be capable of calmly handling emergency situations, and have a professional demeanour.
Hours - 36.5 Hours per week
Pay Rate - £12.83 Per Hour
Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify any suspicious activity or safety hazards.
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing and deterring theft or unauthorised access.
- Respond promptly to alarms or incidents, including medical emergencies, utilising first aid procedures when necessary.
- Record detailed reports of incidents, observations, and security breaches for documentation purposes.
- Liaise with law enforcement or emergency services as required in critical situations.
- Maintain a visible presence to deter misconduct and promote a safe environment.
Qualifications
- Valid AccessNI vetting check will be required.
- Previous experience in security or surveillance roles is preferred but not essential; training can and will be provided.
- Ability to perform basic first aid procedures confidently.
- Strong observational skills with an eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A valid SIA Security Guard licence is desirable but not mandatory at the outset; training can be provided for eligible candidates.
Pay: £12.83 per hour
