Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in welding and fabrication to contribute to high-quality projects in a dynamic environment.

Experience in Trailer/Lorry fabrication/repair/mechanical work would be a major advantage for applicants!

Duties

Perform MIG welding and other welding techniques on various metals, including sheet metal and structural components
Fabricate metal parts according to technical drawings, specifications, and work orders
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components
Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into finished products or structures
Conduct quality checks to ensure welds meet industry standards and project requirements
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
Read technical drawings accurately for precise fabrication and assembly tasks
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and optimise workflow

Requirements

Proven experience in MIG Wekding
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
Solid knowledge of fabrication processes involving sheet metal and structural components
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and quality assessments
Experience in assembly work is desirable but not essential
Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
Previous experience working with various metals and materials is advantageous
