Temporary job share post for 12 months, with possibility for it to be extended further. Working hours are flexible, working days are Wednesday PM, Thursday & Friday.
Secondment may be available to existing employees. You will share the workload of managing employees within Cleaning & Janitorial for West Fife area with the existing Facilities Coordinator. Based at Maitland Street in Dunfermline.
The Facilities Co‑ordinator assists the Line Manager to ensure that a high-quality standard of service and cost effective Facilities Service is provided to customers by managing, leading and supporting a team of staff throughout their area of operation. The role focuses on maintaining service standards, compliance with legislation and effective staff management across multiple sites.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage and co‑ordinate a range of facilities services including Cleaning, Janitorial and caretaking services and school crossing patrol.
- Monitor, audit and inspect facilities to ensure compliance with service standards, quality controls, Service Level Agreements and Health & Safety legislation.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation.
- Carry out and review risk assessments and manual handling assessments.
- Directly supervise and manage a large and diverse staff group.
- Act as a key point of contact for customers and stakeholders, including Head Teachers, Community representatives and members of the public.

You will be required to attend an induction training day before starting in post.
