Role Purpose
To provide end-to-end Protection support to advisers across the research, pre-advice, and post-submission pipeline, ensuring efficient case progression, high-quality technical input, and full compliance at all stages of the client journey.
This role combines technical research expertise with proactive pipeline management, helping advisers:
- Make informed recommendations
- Improve placement outcomes
- Progress cases efficiently from enquiry through to completion
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Research & Pre-Advice Support
- Conduct detailed research to support advisers’ protection recommendations
- Liaise with insurers and underwriters to explore potential underwriting and pricing outcomes
- Provide clear, accurate research feedback to advisers in a timely manner
- Support pre-referral enquiries, helping advisers and partners assess suitability of cases prior to submission
- Develop and maintain strong knowledge of providers, underwriting stance, and product features
2. Pipeline Management & Case Progression
- Proactively manage cases through the pipeline from fact find to policy issue
- Liaise with insurers, GP surgeries, and medical providers to progress applications efficiently
- Maintain regular communication with advisers on case status and next steps
- Identify and resolve delays or bottlenecks in the pipeline
- Ensure clients and advisers are kept informed throughout the process
3. Adviser & Client Support
- Provide high-level administrative and technical support to advisers
- Assist with client applications and documentation requirements
- Respond to queries from advisers, clients, and partners effectively
- Book appointments and coordinate client interactions where required
- Support trust documentation processes, ensuring accuracy and completion
4. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all client files are complete, accurate, and compliant prior to submission
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on CRM systems
- Handle sensitive client data securely and in line with compliance standards
- Support the preparation of suitability reports and documentation where required
5. CRM & Process Management
- Accurately input and maintain client data on CRM systems
- Create, update, and manage tasks to ensure workflow progression
- Support process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability
- Assist in developing structured pipeline tracking and reporting

- Occasional travel to other office locations
Person Specification
Knowledge and Experience
- Experience in financial services, ideally within the protection marketplace
- Understanding of underwriting, providers, and product structures (desirable)
- Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Intelligent Office, Salesforce, etc.)
- Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements
