Job Summary
At Hardwood Landscapes, our maintenance offering is young, exciting and growing.
We are looking for an experienced horticulturalist who can take autonomy over general horticultural works and assist in supporting junior team members.
As a senior gardener / horticulturalist you will have very good plant knowledge and be well versed in current garden maintenance techniques, be aware of effective routines for machinery maintenance, be health and safety aware, have a sharp eye for detail, an ability to supervise teams and communicate with clients.

Responsibilities
- Maintain garden areas to the high standards set at Hardwood Landscapes.
- Operate and maintain power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- To identify issues in gardens and to raise them with the Head of Horticulture.
- To supervise junior members of the teams and direct their daily work where necessary
- Manage planting schemes to optimise growth cycles
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all gardening activities
Requirements
- Level 3 horticultural qualification OR 10 years of industry experience
- At least 5 years proven experience in gardening or horticulture, with a strong understanding of plant genus/species and their care requirements.
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools related to gardening tasks.
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques, including irrigation methods.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with team members and clients.
- A passion for growing plants and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces.
- Spraying and chainsaw tickets advantageous but not essential
- Full driving licence essential
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £32,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
