Hobbledown Epsom is looking for a confident, engaging and organised Entertainment Team Leader to guide and motivate our on‑site entertainment team during weekends and school holidays.
This role is perfect for a strong performer who thrives in interactive environments, enjoys working with children, and can confidently lead a team delivering immersive roaming entertainment. You’ll be at the heart of the guest experience — ensuring our characters, stories and magical moments come to life across the attraction.
As Entertainment Team Leader, you will:
Lead, brief and coordinate the entertainment team during live operational days
Deliver high‑quality immersive roaming character performances
Engage confidently with children and families across the attraction
Improvise naturally while maintaining character integrity and energy
Support rehearsal planning, performance preparation and daily logistics
Maintain high standards of presentation, professionalism and guest interaction
Act as the on‑site point of contact for all entertainment activity
Ensure smooth running of the entertainment programme, adapting to changing operational needs
Support new performers with guidance, coaching and role modelling
Uphold health, safety and safeguarding standards during all interactions
This is a hands‑on leadership role requiring presence, confidence, organisation and a genuine passion for creating memorable experiences.
You must be:
A strong and confident performer with excellent improvisation skills
Comfortable engaging children and family audiences in a lively, interactive setting
Able to lead, motivate and support a small team with clarity and positivity
Organised, proactive and calm under pressure during busy periods
Professional, reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility
Someone who brings enthusiasm, creativity and consistency to every performance
Desirable (but not essential):
Ability to sing and/or dance
Experience in themed attractions, immersive theatre or family entertainment
Previous experience in a team leader or supervisory role
Regular weekend availability is essential, along with full‑time availability during school holidays.
£10–£13 per hour (dependent on age and experience)
