MIG Welder/ Fabricator

Candidates must live within 10 miles radius of Dunstable

NOTE: YOU MUST ANSWER ALL 8 QUESTIONS IN THE PRE-SCREENING SECTION BELOW

An opportunity has now arisen to work within our welding department as a welder who will be expected to be able to read drawings and weld to a high standard. This role will consist of welding new refuse/Linen chutes systems along with replacement Hopper Doors and Discharge sections.

Our core values are to be Professional, Reliable, Straightforward and Accountable, so we are therefore looking to recruit an individual who shares the same qualities as the rest of the team.

Key Responsibilities: -

· Welding new refuse/Linen chutes systems along with replacement Hopper Doors and Discharge sections.

· Operating sanders, machinery and welding equipment.

· Working safe under the companies Health and Safety guidelines.

· Checking the quality before and after the welding.

· Palletising / manoeuvring parts using lifting aids.

· Maintaining a high level of housekeeping.

Knowledge/Skills/ Experience:-

Essential:-

· Previous experience in MIG welding.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Organised and adapt at managing and prioritising workload.

· Ability to work in a small team.

· Must have an understanding on various metals.

· Must be able to follow drawings accurately.

· Minimum of 1 year of welding experience

Desirable:-

· Be able to operate fabrication machinery safely and effectively.

Fabrication: 1 year (preferred)

Other Information:-

Progression within the company

Holidays: 28 Days Including Bank Holidays

PPE Provided; RPE kit, safety glasses, ear defenders etc.
