We are currently looking for enthusiastic and passionate Ambulance Care Assistants to transport our patients, who are frail or need specialist assistance, to and from appointments at hospitals, treatment centres and other similar facilities.

If you have experience of caring for people with proven customer care and communication skills with the public, then we would like to hear from you!

A good sense of humour and local knowledge of the area you are applying to work in will also be an advantage.

Bedford base location - covering the North Bedfordshire area.

The role of the Ambulance Care Assistant involves the transportation of non-urgent patients to and from health/social care premises and private residences. This is a responsible role which requires a professional and caring attitude, as well as teamwork.

You will work in a team of two, or on your own, undertaking duties in a variety of vehicle types.

You need a full UK manual car driving licence, with at least one years driving experience and a maximum of 6 points for SP30 driving offences.

Your role with EEAST PTS would start with a 3 week paid training course (Monday – Friday). The training involves clinical training to be a ‘First Person on Scene’, patient transport driver training. The first 2 weeks training will be held in Welwyn Garden City. Driver Training location will be advised.

You MUST be able to commit to undertaking the full three week training course as outlined above.

You'll have the opportunity to work in one of the most diverse regions in the country, with the vibrant capital city just a stone's throw away and the invigorating North Sea coast to the east.
