Full job description

Overview:

Lutron-Orluna has an immediate opening for a Technical Assistant based in their Dunstable facility. You will build a career with a high tech company working in a hands on environment. You will have the opportunity to cross train in various departments while performing a wide range of duties to support our engineering, manufacturing, assembly, quality, material handling and packaging operations.

Responsibilities:

Assemble custom products to meet the needs of our worldwide customers
Learn our inventory management system and enter materials transactions
Perform light electrical and mechanical assembly operations
Work with our supply chain and distribution teams to process customer orders
Work with material handling equipment to transport materials
Communication status of operation and improvements in a timely manner to leaders
Work in a team environment to implement improvement ideas
Utilize the computer-based system to enter inventory and production transactions
Utilizes continuous improvements and assists in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
Maintain safe and clean work environment by adhering to established policies and procedures
Execute production schedules and highlight issues for quality and output improvement

Qualifications:

Experience in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
Knowledge of BOMs, work orders, serialization, and custom manufacturing processes.
Experience working with barcode systems and label printing.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Capability to lift and move boxes of product up to 20kg
Ability to stand for an extended period of time
Ability to move to surrounding workstations
Ability to read and follow work instructions in English
Ability for continuous learning
