The
We are seeking a Java Developer to join our engineering team delivering enterprise-scale solutions across a range of industries. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of Java Spring Boot microservices within Agile delivery teams and support the delivery of scalable, high-quality software solutions.
This provides the opportunity to work on real-world business challenges, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and develop technical expertise within a modern technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Java Spring Boot microservices as part of a collaborative engineering team
Contribute to the delivery of technical features across the solution architecture
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
Support technical leads with microservices design and end-to-end system integration
Apply development best practices including coding standards, branching strategies, and peer reviews
Contribute to Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Testing practices
Collaborate with test automation engineers to support functional and non-functional testing
Support troubleshooting, issue resolution, and continuous improvement activities
Required Qualifications
Professional experience developing applications using Java
Developed microservices using Spring Boot
Worked in Agile/Scrum methodology
Background developing RESTful APIs and distributed systems
Experience in applying software engineering best practices including coding standards and version control
Experience with Continuous Integration and automated testing practices
Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams
Ability to work independently and contribute to technical discussions
Preferred Qualifications
Experience applying Test-Driven Development (TDD) or Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD)
Experience supporting end-to-end system integration
Experience working in fast-paced delivery environments
Experience contributing to estimation and technical planning discussions
Experience supporting non-functional testing activities
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline
