We are looking for a customer focused casual events assistant to join our team at one of our prestigious client locations in Durham.

Duties to include:
Assist in the setup of event spaces, including arranging seating, setting up equipment, and preparing the venue for the event.- Provide assistance to event attendees, including guiding them to their seats, answering basic questions, and offering general help.
- After events, participate in cleanup activities, which may include clearing tables, removing debris, and restoring the venue to its original condition.
- Work collaboratively with other event staff, following instructions and contributing to the overall success of the event.
- Perform assigned tasks effectively and efficiently, adhering to safety guidelines and event protocols.
- Be prepared to take on various roles or assist in different areas of event operations as needed.
You will have the following skills:
Willingness to work on a casual basis, to support event operations.- Reliable and punctual, arriving on time for assigned shifts.
- Capable of handling tasks that may involve heavy lifting ,and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to work well as part of a team, following instructions and collaborating effectively with colleagues.
- Basic communication skills to understand and carry out tasks and follow instructions from supervisors.
- Willingness to take on various roles and responsibilities as needed during events.
- A customer-friendly attitude and a willingness to assist event attendees as required.
- Ideally Holds Health Safety Level & Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificates.
Knowledge / competencies:
Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.- Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
- Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
