Job Description:
Having won a major contract, Cowans Groundworks are seeking experienced, self-employed Infrastructure Groundworkers to join our team on a subcontracting basis, starting in June.
In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of groundworks activities, including deep drainage, excavation, foundation and slab laying, block and beam installation, ducting, asphalt works, and kerb and paving laying.
Experience with both infrastructure and plot works will be relevant. You will play a key role on site from the outset, preparing land for this structural development.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently, adhering to company and industry standards.
- Collaborate with the Foreman/Supervisor and liaise with external suppliers and subcontractors when required.
- Operate in accordance with risk assessments
- Co-operate with other groundworkers and site workers as required
- To perform the job in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Valid CSCS Card
- GCSEs in Maths and English.
- Have worked within a construction environment
- Manual Handling training.
Preferred
- Full UK driving licence & Experience
- Own transport
