Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team, responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor landscapes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong interest in horticulture and landscape maintenance, with practical experience in gardening tasks. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors, applying your skills to create beautiful and sustainable environments.

Duties

Planting, pruning, watering, and fertilising a variety of plants, shrubs, and trees
Using hand tools such as secateurs, spades, and rakes to maintain garden beds and borders
Operating power tools including lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers for landscape upkeep
Installing and maintaining irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of all plantings
Assisting with soil preparation and composting activities to promote healthy growth
Conducting regular inspections of the garden areas to identify pests or diseases and implementing appropriate measures
Maintaining organisation and cleanliness of tools and work areas
Supporting landscape design projects as required

Experience

Proven experience in gardening or horticulture is highly desirable
Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems
Growing experience or knowledge of plant care and landscape maintenance techniques
Previous involvement in gardening or landscape projects demonstrating attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with physical stamina for manual tasks
