Full job description

he Role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Domestic Assistant to join our team at Aster Care. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home, ensuring a pleasant and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain a high standard of cleanliness across all areas of the care home
Carry out daily cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising
Clean windows, mirrors, furniture, and fittings as required
Ensure bathrooms and wash areas are clean, stocked, and hygienic
Empty and clean waste bins and dispose of waste in line with policies
Clean carpets, curtains, and upholstery where necessary
Move and clean behind furniture, including beds and chairs
Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or faulty equipment
Follow health & safety, fire safety, and infection control procedures
Attend mandatory training and maintain professional knowledge
Promote and maintain the positive reputation of the care home

About You

Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
Reliable, organised, and able to work as part of a team
Awareness of health and safety practices (training will be provided)
Positive and professional attitude
A commitment to supporting a safe and comfortable environment for residents

Reporting To

Manager / Deputy Manager / Housekeeper

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £12.75 per hour
