The Role
The Rock & Pop Foundation is seeking an enthusiastic and professional Multi-Instrumental Peripatetic Music Tutor to join our growing team of music educators, delivering inspiring small-group and one-to-one instrumental lessons within our partner primary schools across the Fordingbridge to Salisbury area.
This position is ideally suited to a professional musician or experienced peripatetic music tutor who enjoys working with primary-aged children and is looking for rewarding, term-time work with the opportunity to develop a long-term teaching portfolio.
The successful candidate will be confident teaching at least two of the following instruments:
The role initially consists of two teaching days per week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays), with excellent opportunities to increase your timetable as our provision continues to grow.
Teaching hours: Approximately 8:30am – 3:30pm during school term time (38 weeks per year).
About You
Experience teaching primary-aged children is highly desirable. Full training will be provided, together with our structured syllabus, lesson resources and scheme of work.

The Successful Candidate Will
- Be available to commit to a regular weekly timetable during school term time.
- Have their own car or van and hold a full, valid UK or European driving licence.
- Be an engaging and confident teacher with excellent communication skills.
- Deliver well-structured, enjoyable music lessons using our established teaching programme.
- Be happy to organise and present two school concerts each academic year to showcase student progress.
- Ideally live in or near Salisbury, Romsey, Andover or the surrounding areas.
- Be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
- Have a minimum of one year's teaching experience, preferably as a peripatetic instrumental tutor delivering individual and small-group lessons.
