Electrical Operative - PAT Tester

Location: Oldbury-on-Severn

Contract: Permanent | Full Time

Hours: 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Thursday (NO FRIDAYS)

Salary: Competative

About the role

Amey is recruiting a PAT Tester to join the team in Oldbury-on-Severn. This is a secure, site-based role offering a 4-day working week, a supportive team environment, and a strong focus on quality over speed.

Working on-site, you’ll ensure all electrical equipment is safe, compliant and tested to current standards. The environment is structured and safety-led, with a focus on accuracy and quality.

Key responsibilities

Carry out Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) across site
Ensure all equipment complies with current safety standards
Maintain accurate testing records and documentation
Work safely and in line with procedures
Manage your own workload while supporting the team

What you’ll bring

Required

City & Guilds 2377 (PAT Testing qualification)
Strong organisational skills
Excellent attention to detail
Good communication skills
Basic IT skills

Desirable

Previous PAT testing experience
Experience using SimplyPATS software
Ability to work independently and in a team
Proactive approach
