Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Delivery Driver’s Mate and become an essential part of delivering exceptional service! In this energetic role, you will assist our drivers in ensuring timely, safe, and efficient deliveries while supporting warehouse operations. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in logistics, materials handling, and transportation, all within a fast-paced environment that values teamwork and initiative. Duties

Assist delivery drivers with loading and unloading goods using appropriate manual handling techniques.
Delivering furntiure to customers homes throughout the Northeast.
Support the safe transportation of materials by helping secure loads and ensuring proper handling during transit
Conduct materials handling activities, including heavy lifting and moving items to designated areas efficiently
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, shipments, and inventory movements in accordance with company procedures
Support the team in maintaining a clean, organized warehouse environment to promote safety and efficiency

Skills

Proven experience with warehouse operations, including shipping & receiving processes
Good time keeping and personal hygiene
Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual tasks throughout the shift
Knowledge of materials handling best practices to ensure safety and efficiency during load & unload activities
Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward supporting colleagues in a fast-paced setting

Pay: £13.50 per hour
