We are looking for an experienced Occupational Health Clinical Nurse Manager to lead a peripatetic team of Occupational Health Nurses and Advisors delivering high-quality services across multiple industries.
This is a hands-on leadership role combining clinical delivery with team and operational management, working across clinic settings and client sites nationwide. You will play a key part in promoting employee wellbeing, supporting inclusive workplace cultures, and shaping future service provision.
Reporting to the Occupational Health Medical Director (clinical) and Occupational Health Director (operational), you will also contribute to the wider OH Management Team.
This is a full-time permanent role, working Monday-Friday from our clinic in Aberdeen.
What You Will Do
Lead and manage a team of OH Nurses and Advisors across clinic and client sites
Deliver client-facing services, including case management, health surveillance, and medicals
Ensure delivery of high-quality services such as:
- Sickness absence management
- Pre-employment and safety-critical medicals
- Immunisations, vaccinations, and wellbeing programmes
- Drug & alcohol testing and specialist industry medicals
Maintain clinical governance standards and support audits, KPIs, and continuous improvement
Develop and review procedures, documentation, and service models
Manage team performance including recruitment, appraisals, retention, and training
Oversee offsite teams and ensure effective resourcing and deployment
Engage with stakeholders to improve quality, safety, and commercial performance
Contribute to contract bids and manage budget responsibilities
Maintain your own clinical competence to support the wider team
About You
Essential
- NMC Registered Nurse (Adult or equivalent)
- Occupational Health qualification (Degree, Diploma, Certificate or FOHN)
- 5+ years’ Occupational Health experience
- Previous leadership/management experience
- Strong experience delivering OH services across multiple industries (incl. Oil & Gas)
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft 365)
- Excellent case management and health surveillance expertise
- Current HAVS Tier 3 certification
- Proven experience across:
- Drug & alcohol testing
- Health surveillance and medicals (incl. OGUK and safety-critical)
- DSE and new & expectant mother assessments
- Immunisation and vaccination delivery
