Full job description

We are looking for a Service Engineer who will be responsible for executing the activities within the service centre for all dismantling, inspection, reporting, machining and assembly of pumps & associated equipment. This role also calls for mobilisation to the field to carry out such activities as onsite removal, installation & commissioning on the UKCS & globally.

This role includes a mix of shop-floor and site based activities with relevant travel as required.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Servicing, installation & commissioning of varying types of rotating equipment including Pumps, Motors, Gearboxes & Diesel Engines
Be health and safety conscious for all operational work being undertaken in the SC, ensuring others are working to procedures.
Dismantle rotating equipment to component level.
Compile detailed condition reports on equipment dismantled & propose repair methods
Execute equipment repairs in line with repair methodologies determined in the condition report, rebuild the equipment in line with defined engineering standards, drawings & individual knowledge and experience.
Carry out Dynamic Balancing & Pressure Testing as part of the repair process.
Fault-finding on break down equipment.
Interpret maintenance manuals, drawings, schematics, and repair equipment, utilising specialist knowledge and standard test instruments and tools.
Present a professional image, support and promote brand values at all times.
Carry out all work practices in line with Company Health and Safety Policy.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
Meet high standard of cleanliness and housekeeping.

Experience & Qualifications:

Essential:

Extensive experience in the overhaul & offshore operations of Rotating Equipment
Time served Craft Apprenticeship or Equivalent
Relevant qualification to NVQ Level 3/4
People Skills, teamwork and collaboration
Problem solving skills
Excellent customer service
Commercially aware
Good oral and written communication skills
Service knowledge & understanding of rotating equipment

Desirable:

Forklift truck license
LOLER trained or similar (overhead crane)
Site Safety Passport
MJI Courses
