2. Job Summary
Repacking, sorting and segregation of Radioactive and hazardous materials. This will include using tools and equipment to downsize materials to meet packing requirements, whilst providing operational support to the WRP Transfer Station and wider site team as required.
3*. Key Responsibilities*
· Proactively support and embed a generative safety culture.
· Work with the Site Manager, Operations Manager, and the rest of the WRP team to ensure operations are carried out in compliance with permits, operating licenses, and our management system.
· Provide operational support and process knowledge to the Waste Recovery Park operation.
· Assisting in the control and protection of company assets (including plant, stores, and vehicles).
· Carry out all work in a safe, compliant, and commercially sound manor.
· Work on specific projects as per business requirements which could include offsite projects to service customer requirements.
· Assisting the team in all aspects of the operation.
· Use of basic IT
· Assisting the team in all aspects of the operation including but not limited to holiday and sickness cover of the role of WRP Operators.
· Any other reasonable duties as and when required.
4*. Critical Qualifications*
· FLT and Telehandler licences desirable
· IOSH working safely or safety passport
· Lifting, Rigging/Slinging
· Full current driving license
5*. Critical Knowledge, Skills and Experience*
· Experience of hazardous waste management and the waste industry
· Experience working with heavy equipment
· Experience working with hand and power tools
· Working as part of a team to solve problems and complete tasks
· Identification of process optimisation and/or development opportunities
· FLT licences and experience, Telehandler and articulated dump truck licences and experience advantageous.
