Full job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well established and innovative MDT, to provide autism and ADHD assessments for 5-18 yr olds. We are passionate about improving the experience of assessment and diagnosis for neurodivergent CYP and improving outcomes by enabling them to understand their strengths and needs. The post holder deliver cognitive assessments, ADOS’s and Qb tests, and over time lead on some ADHD assessments. They will lead on triaging referrals into the team. They will be supported to take a lead on the innovation, co ordinating and preparing some of the clinics, and join ADHD follow up clinics to support case co ordination, working closely with our doctors. Support and supervision structures within the team are excellent. This is a fast-paced and structured role that would suit someone who is passionate about efficient, person-centred, neuroaffirmative assessment. The post will include face to face and home-based remote working. Whilst the majority of the role requires clinic-based working, remote working is encouraged for activities like report writing and a good balance of both styles of working is achieved within our team. W e would particularly welcome applicants that reflect the diverse cultural background of the North London population that the team serves. To provide high quality and efficient neurodevelopmental assessments to children and young people aged 5 to 18 years, utilising a range of methods, and to contribute to risk assessments of CYP
To provide input to MDT discussions.
To lead on triage of referrals
To carry out QI projects as requested, contribute to service development and support assistant psychologists in the team
To screen and prepare cases for some of the clinics eg.the Rapid assessment pathway
To support mental health assessments as part of a neurodevelopmental assessment.
To provide timely and sensitively written reports.
To communicate outcomes of assessments to parents, carers, children and young people and professionals.

To develop a specialist role in the assessment and management of children with ADHD and act as a contact point for professionals in the management of young people with ADHD. This may include liaising with other agencies and the voluntary sector, providing consultation, information and support regarding ADHD.
To case manage a small number of doctor' cases where multi agency networks are involved and the family would benefit from a named clinician from camhs

To complete monitoring of clinical outcomes and own activity data, and keep clinical records and ensure they are updated in a timely manner.
Participate in team training and development and attend regular supervision
