As a Catering Porter with ISS UK, you will play an essential role within our catering operation, supporting the movement of food, equipment, and supplies while ensuring a safe, clean, and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a busy team and takes pride in delivering a high-quality service.
Working across patient and non-patient environments, you will help maintain the smooth and efficient operation of catering services while consistently striving to improve productivity and quality.
The Role
- Work as part of a motivated and dedicated team to deliver a high-quality catering service.
- Provide an efficient and safe catering porter service through the movement of food, equipment, supplies, and documentation throughout the site.
- Assist with the preparation, transportation, and service of meals in accordance with operational requirements and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment within kitchens, food preparation areas, and associated catering premises.
- Carry out cleaning duties in accordance with food hygiene regulations, infection prevention standards, and health and safety procedures.
- Ensure the prompt delivery of meals and catering supplies while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and service.
- Follow all health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a secure working environment.
About You
- An enthusiastic and positive approach to work.
- Previous catering experience is desirable; however, a positive and proactive attitude is essential.
- A good understanding of food hygiene principles and safe working practices.
- The ability to follow instructions carefully while using initiative and good judgement when appropriate.
- A customer-focused approach, with a commitment to delivering an excellent service experience.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across different departments.
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
