Full job description

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a research assistant in Broadmoor Hospital.

In 2019, we moved into the new hospital, which provides a modern, state-of-the-art, high secure facility for patients from across London and southern England that meets national and local policy requirements. The environment is safe and secure in relation to protection of the public, visitors, staff and patients. It is designed to maximise the delivery of modern clinical care.

We are seeking a research assistant to work within the Broadmoor Research hub. The successful candidate will have experience in research, be enthusiastic, and focussed on improving the quality of care within forensic mental health settings.

The successful candidate will take part in all aspects of research on site and be expected to help develop and coordinate future research proposals including those co-produced with patients. There are opportunities to develop your own projects under the supervision of the research lead. The role also involves helping facilitate two patient involvement groups, supporting the organisation of research presentations and conferences as well as helping manage the Research Hub’s website.

The Trust is an established partner and contributor in the development of the evolving North West London Integrated Care System and the Integrated Care Board. The Trust leads the NW London Children and Adolescent Mental Health provider collaborative.
