Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Traffic Marshall/Gateman to oversee vehicle and pedestrian movement on construction sites or other operational areas.

Responsibilities

Direct vehicles and pedestrians safely within designated areas, ensuring adherence to site rules and regulations.
Control access points, verifying authorised personnel and vehicles before granting entry or exit.
Maintain clear communication with drivers, colleagues, and site management using effective verbal skills.
Monitor traffic flow to prevent congestion or unsafe situations, adjusting signals or instructions as necessary.
Assist with manoeuvring lorries or construction vehicles when required, ensuring safe operation at all times.
Keep records of vehicle movements and visitors as required by site protocols.
Ensure the work area remains tidy and free from hazards that could impede safe movement.

Requirements

CITP or NPORS (CITB affiliated) qualification - assential
Prior experience in construction or a similar environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly convey instructions and information.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites or operational areas.

Pay: £19.00 per hour
