Full job description

Job Summary
We are looking for a Press Brake Operator/Sheet Metal Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and be able to undertake sheet metal work with precision and accuracy. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating the press brake, assisting with running a laser cutter and general sheet metal work. They must also be able to accurately read drawings and follow safety protocols at all times.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate press brakes.
Read and interpret drawings, and specifications.
Perform quality control checks on parts.
Assist with other fabrication tasks such as laser cutting, grinding, and assembly when required.

Requirements

Experience in press brake operation, sheet metal work or related engineering roles is preferred
Proficiency with hand tools used in sheet metal work
Ability to read technical drawings and perform basic math calculations for measurements
Knowledge of assembly processes related to sheet metal components
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently in a team environment

Hours of work 7.30 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Thursday, 7.30 am to 1 pm Friday

Salary depending on experience
