Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Tanker Driver (Tramper) to join our very busy family run business. This role involves long-distance multi -drop and bulk load deliveries of AdBlue to our customers nationwide. You will be required to be tramping Monday to Friday with nights out paid at £25.00 per night. Occasional weekend and Bank Holiday work available. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods, maintaining compliance with road safety regulations, and upholding high standards of customer service. This position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers looking to specialise in tramper operations within a reputable organisation.

Duties

Operate HGV Class 1 lorries, specialising in tanker work
Conduct pre-journey safety checks and ensure vehicle compliance with legal requirements
Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules across multiple locations
Secure equipment on tanker securely after use to prevent movement in transit.
Complete accurate delivery documentation using hand held PDA system and communicate effectively with dispatch teams.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any mechanical issues promptly
Adhere strictly to driving hours regulations and tachograph legislation
Conduct post-trip inspections and complete relevant logs

Qualifications

Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence with a clean driving record
Proven experience in tanker driving, ideally with delivery driver experience involving tanker work. Training will be provided.
Strong understanding of road safety regulations and compliance standards
Ability to operate tanker vehicles safely and securely load/unload cargo as required
Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively
Flexibility to undertake long-distance trips and stay away from home as necessary
Excellent communication skills and professional attitude

Pay: £50,000.00 per year
