About the President & Provost’s team
The President & Provost (P&P), Dr Michael Spence, is the chief executive and academic officer of the university, responsible to Council for advancing and delivering UCL’s core academic mission – education, research and knowledge exchange and translation. The P&P also has an active role as UCL’s principal representative in external relations and in promoting UCL’s position as London’s Global University.
The wider Office of the President & Provost oversees 18 portfolios comprising of 5 Vice-Provosts (Faculties; Education and Student Experience; Research, Innovation and Global Engagement; Strategy; Health), 4 Vice-Presidents (Strategy; External Engagement; Advancement; Operations; Finance, Commercial and Estates), the Chief People Officer, the General Counsel, the Chief of Staff; and 6 Pro-Provosts (Equity & Inclusion; London; Policy Engagement; Bicentennial; UCL East; Regional Communities).
As a key member of our busy team, the Institutional Global Visits Manager takes a collaborative approach to institutional overseas trips, maximising the opportunities that cross institutional visits provide to advance and support UCL’s activities overseas. Core responsibilities include:
- Proactively and efficiently manage the planning and coordination of UCL’s institutional programme of overseas visits, with a clear understanding of the rationale, objectives and desirable outcomes for each event/visit
- Enable the planning, delivery and evaluation of the institutional overseas visits programme, that efficiently supports UCL’s strategic approach to international engagement, effectively facilitates engagement with key stakeholders and adheres to UCL’s relevant policies
- Provide a comprehensive administrative (and logistical) support service to visits which are led by the President & Provost and VP teams
- Develop processes and enhance procedures to facilitate an effective and efficient management of the institutional overseas visits plan as well as supporting documentation
