This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop broad HR experience within a standalone environment whilst gaining exposure to a wide range of business activities.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Director, you will support the day-to-day delivery of HR activities across the employee lifecycle while also providing administrative support to the wider business as required.
The business already has established HR policies, procedures and systems in place, and the successful candidate will help maintain, develop and embed these as the organisation continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
HR Administration & Employee Support
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
- Support recruitment activities including advertising, interview coordination and onboarding.
- Assist with induction processes for new starters.
- Support employee relations processes and meetings.
- Administer absence, holiday and other employee records.
- Maintain HR policies, procedures and employee handbooks.
- Ensure HR records are maintained in line with GDPR requirements.
- Support learning and development activities.
- Manage the HR system and employee data.
Payroll & Benefits
- Prepare payroll information for submission to payroll providers.
- Support benefits administration.
- Assist with pension administration and employee queries.
General Business Administration
- Provide administrative support to the Director and management team.
- Assist with document management and record keeping.
- Support company events and employee engagement activities.
- Assist with ad hoc business administration projects as required.
About You
- Experience within an HR, administration or people support role.
- CIPD qualification or working towards CIPD qualification would be advantageous.
- Good understanding of HR principles and employment practices.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Comfortable working independently in a small business environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Professional and discreet when handling confidential information.
