Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about food, leadership, and delivering exceptional dining experiences. The Chef will play a vital role in maintaining food safety standards and fostering a positive team environment.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members
Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency and consistency
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness within the kitchen
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
Develop new recipes and menu items in collaboration with management
Monitor kitchen operations to optimise workflow and minimise waste
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times

Experience

Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality environment
Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership capabilities
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food production techniques
Extensive kitchen experience with knowledge of food safety standards
Experience managing teams and coordinating multiple tasks efficiently
Familiarity with restaurant operations, serving procedures, and customer service excellence
Previous experience in hospitality or catering settings will be advantageous
