Clinical Psychologist Band 8a: 0.6 WTE
Fixed Term Post (Maternity Cover) for 5 months
We are delighted to welcome applications for this fixed term 8A clinical psychologist post within South East Edinburgh Community Mental Health Team. This post would suit individuals who have experience of working with individuals presenting with severe and complex mental health problems. Psychology is part of a well established and supportive MDT and you will be working with another part time psychology colleague and be based within the CMHT at Ballenden House in Edinburgh.
You will be involved in providing a highly specialist Psychology service which involves the assessment, formulation and application of psychological models and associated therapies. In addition to the provision of individual and group therapies you will be required to provide support to the multi disciplinary staff team through shared assessments, psychological formulation including team formulation, reflective practice and consultancy. Teaching and training for the CMHT generally will also be expected as part of the role.

The Lothian Psychology service hosts trainees from a range of Universities including Edinburgh University.
There is also a strong commitment to professional development of staff within the service.
The preference is to recruit to 0.6wte for 5 months but other working patterns e.g. 0.3wte for 10 months will be considered.
