We have a fantastic career opportunity for someone to join our Residential Land Department in a Legal Support role, based at our new, modern office in the heart of Poole.

Ideally, we are seeking applications from candidates looking for a full-time role, but those seeking part time (no less than 4 days, which must include a Friday) may also be considered.

The Role:
The role involves providing comprehensive secretarial support on a day-to-day basis to the Lawyers within the Residential Land team, to assist them in progressing their caseload of residential conveyancing matters. The role is varied, and you will be working alongside other support staff.

Duties include:

Assisting fee earners with all administrative aspects of conveyancing transactions
Preparing, formatting and managing legal documents
Document management, filing, and organisation within Actionstep Case Management System
Drafting legal correspondence, reports, and other documentation with accuracy and attention to detail
Maintaining meticulous case files in compliance with firm standards
Sorting, scanning and allocating post to matters, cross referencing important information details
Client communication, both via the telephone and email, answering queries and providing information professionally and warmly
Communication with providers, agents, other solicitors etc where applicable
Completing relevant compliance required for files
Production of accurate, timely and professionally presented documentation,
Dealing with completion of posting slips to claim money for invoices
Assisting in administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and providing executive administrative support

About you:
Ideally you will have previous experience in a similar legal secretarial/ support role with good overall knowledge of the administrative and compliance processes relating to land transactions and procedures. However, consideration will also be given to legal secretarial candidates who are seeking to transfer their skills into Land from another area of law, or candidates with the relevant transferable admin/secretarial skills who are seeking to train into a legal support role within a Law firm.

Additionally, this position may also appeal to recent graduates (preferably Law Graduates) who possess relevant legal/admin experience and are keen to develop their skills within a support role.

This is a busy role, where there is a need to work to tight timescales and follow specific procedures, therefore, you must be a team-player with a positive, can-do attitude, be well-organised, deadline focused and have a calm manner. Salary guide: From £24,000 - £28,000+ (NB - salary offered will depend on level of skills, knowledge and experience within Private Client and is provided as a general guide)

Hours: Usual hours are Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break (35 hours per week)

Parking: The firm cover he cost of parking at nearby car parks.
