Job description for care assistant

JOB TITLE: Care Assistant cum Kitchen Assistant - Bank

REPORTING TO: Home Manager.

JOB PURPOSE:

· To assist in the provision of care and work as part of a team to achieve quality outcomes.

· To ensure clients retain their dignity and individuality.

· To ensure the highest standards of care are delivered through a person centred approach at all times.

. To complete the kitchen duties inducted by Chef and giving support to Chef on a daily basis.

· To assist in the general activities of the home.

Skills, Knowledge and qualifications required:

A genuine interest of working within a caring environment.

· Ability to work communicates effectively at all levels.

· Team Player.

· Willingness to participate in vocational and any other relevant training.

· Satisfactory police check and clearance with the independent safeguarding authority.

Desired:

· Care certification (achieved / working towards).

· Experience of working with the elderly.

. Experience in kitchen operation & cooking.
