Full job description

Flint Owl Bakery is a wholesale and retail organic craft bakery situated in Glynde, Nr Lewes in East Sussex.

We supply organic breads and viennoiserie to our customers in Sussex. We have our own shops/cafes in Lewes, Brighton and East Grinstead which are supplied by our bakery & kitchen as well as our own market garden producing vegetables for our kitchen.

We are looking for a full time baker with experience working in a professional bakery working mainly with breads but also viennoiserie. You will be passionate about working with high quality long fermented sourdoughs.

You will have experience in mixing, hand shaping and oven work. Experience of laminating, cutting and hand shaping croissants. Knowledge of sourdough production would be ideal but not essential as we can teach that. Career progression possibilities.

5 shifts p/wk. Shift patterns on average 10am-6pm / 12-8pm. Viennoiserie is an evening shift.

We are situated in Glynde, 5mins from Lewes. You may need your own transport due to the village location although there is a train station, 5 mins walk from the bakery.
