Property Maintenance Coordinator

Salary: £28,500 – £31,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
23 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Hedley Visick is looking for a Property Maintenance Coordinator to join our team in Eastbourne. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established and growing business that delivers property maintenance services to social landlords and housing associations across East Sussex and the surrounding areas.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and acting as the key link between clients, tenants and field-based operatives.
The Role
As Property Maintenance Coordinator, you will play a central role in ensuring maintenance works are delivered efficiently and to a high standard. You will coordinate repairs from initial instruction through to completion, maintaining clear communication with clients, tenants and operatives throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing incoming repair requests via telephone and email
- Scheduling reactive and planned maintenance works
- Allocating jobs to operatives based on location, availability, and skill set
- Monitoring job progress and updating the job management system in real time
- Liaising with tenants, housing associations, and contractors to provide updates and resolve queries
- Chasing outstanding works and ensuring jobs are completed within agreed timescales
- Processing administrative tasks including invoicing and documentation
- Supporting contract delivery and assisting the wider property maintenance team
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a property maintenance, social housing, facilities management, repairs coordination, or contract administration role
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience scheduling works and coordinating field-based teams
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Confidence using job management, scheduling, or maintenance management systems
- A proactive, professional, and solution-focused approach
- High attention to detail and commitment to excellent customer service
