We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sheet Metal Worker to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal components with precision and attention to detail. Responsibilities
- Fabricate sheet metal parts according to technical drawings and specifications using hand tools and tooling.
- Perform grinding, welding, and assembly tasks to create durable metal components.
- Measure and mark materials accurately, applying basic maths principles to ensure precise cuts and fits.
- Operate mechanical equipment safely and efficiently during fabrication and assembly processes.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Assist in troubleshooting fabrication issues and suggest improvements for efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience in fabrication, welding, grinding, or related roles within the sheet metal industry is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, tooling, and basic measuring instruments is essential.
- Familiarity with sheet metal materials and assembly techniques is highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and perform basic math calculations accurately.
- Prior experience working with mechanical systems or in a manufacturing environment will be considered an advantage.
