This Ad is for either an Electrician's Mate/ Improver, and looking to vastly expand their knowledge and developments. Must also be able to work independently using initiative. Although you will also have opportunities to working alongside electricians, assisting them with various tasks and learning the ins and outs of electrical installations, repairs, maintenance and testing. Successful candidates will be trailed on site for competency, once demonstrated a work probation period will be offered initially.
The position is Bristol based, but must also be willing to travel and infrequently stay away if required, night out allowances will be available
Candidates must have own mode of Transport to either meet up on site or team up in a van, must have basic tools and steel tool capped boots, work trousers and relevant PPE. Company work shirts etc will be provided
Must be able to provide a CIS/UTR number and N.I number
This is not an employment contract so working days/hours may vary
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Basic knowledge of electrical systems and a willingness to learn and develop further expertise.
- Has completed a Level 2 & 3 Electrical Installations course
2. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Must be able to speak and understand English language
3. Good physical stamina, as the role may involve lifting and carrying heavy equipment. Ability to work well under pressure.
5. Willingness to work in various locations, sometimes in demanding conditions or at heights.
6. Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures
Key Responsibilities & developments :
1. Support electricians in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems, ensuring work is carried out efficiently and to industry standards.
2. Assist with running cables, connecting devices.
4. Develop the skills and knowledge in troubleshooting electrical issues and identifying solutions. Ability to carrying out testing to prove functionality and safety of circuits in accordance with the BS7671
5. Adhere to safety guidelines and take precautionary measures to ensure a safe working environment.
6. Be able to work independently using own initiative.
7. Uphold a polite manner towards customers
8. Demonstrate thorough competency with attention to details and house keeping skills
