Due to expansion, we now have a position open at Llangattock School Monmouth for a creative and experienced Science Teacher who will contribute to wider success by teaching outstanding Science classes and sustaining student performance in terms of teaching, learning, and evaluation.
You’ll be delivering core aspects of the Science curriculum, and be knowledgeable in all 3 specialisms of Chemistry, Biology and Physics, using assessments and feedback to sustain and raise achievement. You’ll have an enthusiasm for supporting learners with additional needs, teaching with a positive and inclusive outlook, and managing complex behaviours within a structured learning environment, to ensure differently-abled learners can reach their full potential.
Job requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent qualification or
- Relevant specialist qualifications and experience (e.g BSc in a Science-related degree)
- Ability to deliver high-quality Science lessons covering a range of modules and concepts, both theoretical and practical
- Understanding of curriculum and assessment requirements for Science
- Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning in preparation for examinations
- Experience working with students with SEND is essential.
- To have an awareness of a trauma informed approach.
