Full job description

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join a small friendly vibrant team in Colden Common, providing back office support to our clients.

The right individual will need a can do attitude and be prepared to get involved in every aspect of the business, you will be hard working and a true team player.

This is a fast paced role and would suit someone who can work under pressure and be able to multitask.

Part time or full time flexible. WFH Fridays!

Responsibilities

Assist with daily financial transactions, including processing accounts payable and receivable.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or similar platforms.
Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
Process Pay and Bill through online systems
Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Support internal audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Skills

Proficiency in Xero is essential or Xero certification obtained prior to job start.
Strong understanding of basic book keeping and pay and bill processes
Experience with accounts payable processes, credit control processes, and general financial accounting tasks.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Good analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all financial data.
Effective communication skills to liaise confidently with team members and external auditors.
Strong excel skills
Ability to adapt quickly to new systems or procedures within a fast-paced environment.

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
