Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Receptionist / Clinic Administrator to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment while efficiently managing administrative tasks. Your proactive approach will help streamline clinic operations, facilitate smooth patient flow, and support the overall success of our healthcare services. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic medical setting where your organizational skills and positive attitude will make a meaningful difference.

Duties

Warm, caring and approachable
Clearly spoken, with excellent verbal communication skills
Confident speaking clearly and patiently with customers both face-to-face and over the telephone
Confident communicating with people of all ages, particularly older patients and those with hearing difficulties
Professional and well presented
Organised and reliable
Comfortable using computers, email and appointment systems
Able to manage several tasks while maintaining excellent attention to detail
Able to work independently as well as part of a small team
Patient, understanding and compassionate
Willing to undertake a DBS check, which is required for this role

Experience

Previous reception, healthcare, optical, dental, pharmacy or customer service experience would be beneficial, although full training can be provided to the right person.

Familiarity with healthcare or medical office procedures is a plus but not required
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills—friendly, professional, and clear in interactions
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with office software such as MS Office Suite or clinic management systems
