The Business Architect team will be responsible for leading forward in the development and introduction of new technologies to deliver improved services and systems for the end users.
The role with require leading on a number of project and development work streams. This includes the responsibility for notifications to teams regarding system updates, systems development, configuration changes, security management, and liaison with other business areas and external suppliers to manage service delivery and retirement of systems no longer needed, so that the cost and quality benefits are realised.
The development and support team works within a service delivery framework, the development and consistent adoption of best practice policies and procedures based on an ITIL v4, release management, maintaining system configuration and documentation, managing faults and failures to resolution as well as resolving data quality issues within any systems or application.
Lead the design, specification and ongoing development of clinical and non‑clinical systems, working with internal teams and external suppliers to define technical and integration requirements. Produce and maintain system, interface and integration specifications, ensuring documentation remains accurate and up to date. Provide specialist system expertise to end users, facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings, and manage issues through to resolution in collaboration with developers and suppliers. Ensure system changes are effectively communicated and embedded, working within an ITIL v4 service delivery framework. Maintain awareness of relevant standards and national initiatives, mentor junior colleagues, and manage own workload to deliver agreed outputs, including occasional out‑of‑hours support.
